This Independence Day, I will be sporting a patriotic-chic look with red, white, and blue apparel and accessories. This week on the blog, I have curated a few of my favorites designers and their festive red, white and blue designs that will leave you saying “ooooo” and ‘ahhhhh” all summer long.
What woman doesn’t want to express her bold side for Independence Day? Our vibrant Lapis Pendant is bezel set in 18K gold vermeil and hangs from a hammered gold link chain. This deep blue stone radiates subtle flecks of gold and works well with just about any fashion look…casual or formal.
When it comes to sunglasses, one of my favorite designers for eyewear is Burberry. This season, Burberry features their newly Italian crafted pair of shades, the “Doodle” Cat-Eye. I love them because they are chic yet playful. These would be perfect to wear to the beach, or for lounging poolside, sipping on a Mojito while reading your favorite magazine.
This lovely Joie Lace Midi Dress from Neiman Marcus is one my preferred styles…fitted around the bust and waist, but flared at the bottom. And to me, there is nothing better than a light and airy white summer dress. The lace-guipure with ladder-stitching gives this particular dress a chic, tasteful look. The flowy bottom is easy breezy; perfect for dancing the night away.
No Fourth of July ensemble would be complete without a pop of red. One of our most classic pieces, the glamorous Majuli Ring featuring a teardrop of elegant ruby set in fine 18k gold, is pure “red” perfection. Rubies are majestic and powerful, and it seems fitting to wear such a powerful stone on this patriotic holiday!
Nothing says American spirit like this marvelous Bazar Zip-Around Continental Balenciaga wallet. Featuring red, white and blue stripes, this vibrant accessory provides just enough room for the necessities (lip gloss, credit card, and phone) while adding just enough flair to this holiday ensemble. I love the simplicity of design combined with a pop of personality.
Lastly, I adore these Gucci Sefir sandals that I found at Barney’s. They are styled with a blue patent leather ankle strap and assembled from white and blue gingham fabric. The woven straw footbed and platform make these sandals very comfortable for walking, which I will be doing a lot of as we search for the perfect spot on the mall for viewing the fireworks. They truly are the cherry on top of any Fourth of July ensemble.
