Dina Mackney: Gem Inspired Beauty..THINK PINK

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend and while I do like to indulge (my fine jewelry line uses quite a few of them!), I’d like to think that the color pink makes a delightful acquaintance. Pink elicits a very reactive response; some women find it to be too “girly” and others can’t get enough of the feminine shade. I believe it’s all about balance. This week’s newest arrivals to the Dina Mackney e-boutique feature soft pink gems tempered by bold 18K gold vermeil and modern design. Examples include the Italian Glass Flower Pendant, Rhodochrosite Drop Earrings, Rose Quartz Doublet Pendant, and Rhodochrosite Round Pendant. I’d wear any of these pieces as an accent to a statement blouse or mixed in with my essential jewelry items to add something extra to an everyday look.

Taking inspiration from the latest web offerings, this week’s Gem Inspired Beauty topic is all things pink. Pink looks great on all skin tones and is the perfect shade to reach for when searching for new makeup products. Instead of bold, saturated pigments this summer, I’m lusting for items that enhance my natural features in the best way possible. I’ve shared a few of my current must-haves below.

LipsDior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm– Mango butter is the key hydrator in this sheer balm formula. When applied to the lip, it actually enhances your natural lip color, so it will look a bit different on everyone who wears it! The shade lasts all day and also offers some protection from the sun with SPF 10. Get it at Neiman Marcus

FaceChanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush– My favorite beauty brand by far is Chanel. I’ve been using it for years because of its unique formulas that leave a silky finish. This blush is no different; coming in a variety of pink shades, the powder allows you to determine the level of coverage you want. Go barely there for daytime errands then add more in the evening for a fun night on the town. Apply it around the eyes or high on the cheekbone to give your face an instant “lift.”

SkinEstee Lauder Resilience Lift Face and Neck Creme– While we can’t control our age in terms of years, we can off set the process as it regards our skin. This firming/sculpting creme from iconic beauty brand Estee Lauder is a miracle in a jar. It features complex technology that uses the power of light to boost your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, leaving your skin firmer, lifted, and more radiant. The saying “age is nothing but a number” could not be more true with this product!

EyesBy Terry Hydradiance Eye Contour– As a working mom and entrepreneur, sleep is a luxury that can be hard to find at times; I know many of you can relate. For those moments when your face needs a quick refresher, this eye serum does just the trick. An aqua gel formula fights fatigue by moisturizing, smoothing, decongesting, and lightening dark circles. With this product in your makeup arsenal, you’ll be ready to put you best face forward, even if you’re only running on two hours of sleep.
