Dina Mackney Summer Party Style

The transition into summer is always a special time of year and nothing screams “summertime fun” louder than a summer party! Aside from backyard barbecues and brunch dates with your girlfriends, the biggest gatherings this season will no doubt be wedding ceremonies. This special occasion is always great because you are able to celebrate a beautiful union. However, weddings tend to come with a variety of events leading up to the big day, which can be daunting when trying to plan your ensembles. Instead of purchasing entirely new outfits for each event, I suggest investing in a few standout pieces that can be worn with a variety of looks. For spring and summer, I believe there is no better combination than a fun pink dress worn with nude accessories to ground the look. Dresses are a simple, one piece outfit that only require a few touches to be special and pink is a great color that allows you to shine without stealing the spotlight from the bride (a definite fashion faux pas!).

Below, I’ve created two looks featuring a few of my favorite pink Dina Mackney pieces along with makeup and accessories that can work for either outfit..from one of our favorite retail partners, Neiman Marcus. I’ve tackled the dreaded “what will I wear” question head on so you can focus on what’s most important: celebrating a special occasion with the ones you love!

The Beaded Pink Sapphire Necklace
This stunner features a single strand of sapphire beads and a beautiful faceted Brazilian milky quartz pendent bezel set in 18K yellow gold. While it may look like a dainty piece, this necklace packs a major style punch when paired with a pink printed cocktail dress. For an extra bit of glam, add the Rose Quartz Double Drop Earrings and be prepared to turn heads at your next bridal shower or rehearsal dinner.

The Pink Shanti Necklace
One of my favorite Dina Mackney pieces this season, the Pink Shanti Beaded Tassel Necklace, is sure to please! Measuring in at 36 inches, this necklace will definitely serve as the centerpiece of any outfit. I’d wear it with an elegant fit and flare dress for a late afternoon wedding ceremony. The kunsite and white topaz beads of the shanti necklace will be a great accent for a simple dress.

Accessories
Nude accessories form a necessary foundation for any wardrobe, so invest in classic items that will never go out of style. Stuart Weitzman’s City Sandal will hit all the right style notes when paired with either of the looks above; the 3″ heel height will leave your feet feeling good even after hours of dancing! Pair them with a saffiano leather clutch for a look that is effortlessly glam.

Makeup
Keep your makeup look fresh with dewy skin and an eye palette from beauty guru Bobbi Brown. This limited-edition set of four shadows is perfect for a summer day or night, as the pink hues look great on all skin tones and, as the name implies, will leave you “sun-kissed” whether you are partying indoors or outside. For day, sweep the matte shadow over your entire lid and then add either of the shimmery pink shades for a nice glow. Use the dark matte shade as a liner for your nighttime festivities.

Be sure to purchase all of these products, including each of the featured Dina Mackney pieces, at your local Neiman Marcus retailer or neimanmarcus.com. I can’t wait to see how you wear your wedding style so be sure to tag all of your social media images with #dinamackney and #mydina. Here’s to a beautiful summer season!
